2001 Merlot
Deep crimson in colour the nose exhibits aromas of confiture plums, spiced fruits, and lifted floral aromatics. The medium to full-bodied palate is rich in texture, yet firm on the finish with small-berried fruit supporting the tannins, and the long harmonious finish. Quite approachable now, this wine will reward at least three years of cellaring, but should age well for a further five. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2010.
